Test winner in the major water bottle comparison
SIGG has been producing high-quality aluminum goods since 1908. Thanks to the Swiss company's rich tradition, the SIGG name today stands for quality, innovation, design, and environmental awareness. From the very beginning, the drinking bottles were designed to transport a wide variety of beverages in a leak-proof manner. This was even confirmed by Stiftung Warentest, where the sturdy SIGG bottle was the only one tested to remain completely leak-proof, making it the test winner. These outstanding features have made SIGG bottles a global synonym for intelligent, sustainable drinking bottles.

Frequently Asked Questions
We are here for you. You can find answers to frequently asked questions in our FAQ section here. Otherwise, contact us directly via the contact form for further information.

Are SIGG bottles microwave-safe?
The bottles must not be placed in the microwave, on a hot stovetop, in a hot oven, or in the freezer.
Can hot water be put into an aluminum bottle?
Aluminium is an excellent heat conductor. This means that the temperature of the liquid inside can also be felt on the outside of the drinking bottle. We therefore recommend filling it with water at a maximum temperature of 40°C.
Which liquids can I store in SIGG water bottles?
All SIGG bottles have been tested with many different types of beverages, such as acidic drinks, carbonated drinks, milk, alcohol, apple juice, lemon juice, etc. However, we advise against leaving beverages that undergo natural fermentation processes, such as apple juice or milk, in the bottle for extended periods. This natural process can promote bacterial growth and generate gases and strong odors that are difficult to remove.
Are the water bottles leak-proof?
All SIGG closures are leakproof. However, closures and seals are also subject to normal wear and tear due to intensive use. We recommend not washing the bottle cap in the dishwasher, but rather removing it, rinsing it with hot water, and letting it air dry. It is often also helpful to replace the bottle seal where possible. This is available as a spare part from retailers and in our webshop.
What is the best way to clean the aluminum/glass/plastic bottles?
For aluminum bottles: Cleaning tablets or mild detergent, do not put in the dishwasher.
For glass bottles: Clean by hand only, no chlorine or bleach, soft cloths/sponges.
For plastic (e.g. Tritan, polypropylene): Although partially dishwasher-safe, hand-washing with a mild detergent is recommended to avoid damaging the print etc.
